I have a difficult relation with almost everyone, I feel. I fail to connect with other people, be it friends or family, particularly the later. I take stuff too seriously or unfunny jokes too far and more often than not that ends in fractured relationships, the few that I manage to get going anyways.
This is a way of express how I feel by making improvisations on my guitar with some simple effects and layering.

These songs have no real care for key or timing, they came up almost by accident really. I was feeling like crap, I opened a project file where I had some effects set up for a song and I just started recording whatever came to mind changing the tunings along the way, starting with something that could work as a base and just improvising over it. And that´s as far as the production went. A bunch of effects preseted for another project, simple panning and volume adjustments, and voila.

Sometimes the new layered parts come whenever they feel like, sometimes there are dissonant notes thrown into the mix. That´s how I perceive it all really. Anxiety isn't a stationary or harmonious feeling, it's constant, unpredictable, and sometimes has ugly things that mix it up, that's just how it is for me.

Normally I´d write the notes down and record several takes of each song, but not for this project. The original sessions were three songs recorded over the course of two and a half hours, basically until I was too tired to continue. The feeling washed out the next morning so I just felt that reworking these songs or figuring how to record more would feel fake, at least for me anyways. For a while, the project was intended to be just 3 songs, but well, a bad week was enough for me to record the other 3 tracks, which I felt rounded the project to a nice 6 songs that had some progression of the moving feelings I intended to project in here.

I pitched this to labels and intended to run some pre-release press, but really it's just too uncommercial of a project and I just didn't have the energy knowing that this just isn't that kind of record. I'm not saying that anything that runs on the press is commercial, just that it's difficult to have something to say about a project like this and it's even more difficult to sell it, so I hope that it finds someone who likes it.
